The Bombing on Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Many civilians are now regretting their imediate wish to return the favor after
the incident that occured on September 11, several are begining to
reconsider and revaluate their rash actions. Protesters around the country have
taken to attacking our armed forces with words and sometimes fists. I find this
to be completely and utterly degrading to the "American way". Our troops are only
carrying out our wishes, they are doing what they where told to do, which is
to protect our way of life. Yet americans suddenly beleive this to be a cruel
action, they belive we are atacking a weaker foe therefore making us the bullies.
Buzz Adams from the KLAQ (El Paso, TX) morning show even stated "I get visons of the
Empire Strikes Back when ever I see the news telecasts about us bombing
the shit out of Afghanistan." Now I ask you how fair of an anlogy is this?
Personally I am rather sick of hearing people complain about the war on
terroism. All I have to say to this folly is this: US citizens, YOU wanted
to return fire on the Taliban after they devastated us by downing the Twin
Towers and destroying a part of the Pentagon not to mention kill
hundreds of innocent civilians, and now after all is said
and done you wish to pull back. You are truly below the towel wearing fools
who began this silly school yard scruffle. We have turned a corner in history
that we can never go back to. No child shall ever feel completely safe in an
aircraft or climbing up to the top of a scysraper, and it is for these reasons
that we need to find something that will make us have a sense of safety again.
If that means destroying the Taliban and innocent bystanders in the process,
so be it.
This happens to be my opinion and if you don't share it then dont
bother flaming me. For nothing you can say shall change my mind.
