Hiatus

February 21, 2006

I've become a bit wrapped up in personal problems lately and my school work has been piling up like a son of a gun. I've been managing to find some spare moments here and there to sneak online to keep updated with what's going on with everyone, and to keep my fanlistings updated but I've been pretty much AWOL for some time now. As is evidenced by my few (and sporadic) posts at Nocturna, TSB, and Animanga. =/ Because of the hassle that this semester has become and the personal issues I've been having I think it is best if I just take it easy and not try to force myself to do too much at once. That said I will be taking a bit of a hiatus from the net-life until my schedule clears up a bit. I will try to check in my friends online and visit the mboards when I get a chance. Please don't be offended if you don't see me leaving comments on blogs or posting as much as I used to, I'm still here and I still care about what's going on with everyone, I just don't have a lot of time on my hands right now.

I will be checking in regularly on my fanlistings and my email so have no worries, I'm not going away. And this is definately not a permanet hiatus thing either. I wouldn't even call it a real hiatus, since I will still try to be around when I can. If you need to contact me please don't hesitate to drop me a line at my email addy of joana[at]nanashi-inc.net.

Thank you all for being so understanding about this and for being my friends big grinheart

Thank youheart: Miranda, Annie & Julie

Crazy Week

February 12, 2006

I just got off work a little over an hour ago and I haven't gone to bed yet so I figured why not blog?

Since it is now 3:23am I am now 22yrs old. Joy. I actually forgot about my birthday until some friends mentioned it and I was like "oh yeah, crap another year older". Just about everybody wants to take me out to celebrate my birthday but all I feel like doing is staying at home and studying. I've got another bone quiz in Osteology on Wednesday as well as my first exam in CJ 307 and assignment number 3 is due in CJ 301. Not to mention modules 1 & 2 are due on Tuesday for Anthropology 315 and on Thursday I have my first exam in that class.

To top off a crazy week I get to go to court on Tuesday to contest the ticket I mentioned awhile back so that should be fun. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can get the ticket waived since I do have current registration.

Also, I finally got around to skinning my listing collective. I've got four skins up right now. Now if I can only find the time to convert Nanashi-Inc to php. Once I do that I'll change the current layout from a frames one to a tables one and at least make two other skins for it. Now if I could only find the time to get all the things I want to get done.

Thank youheart:Julie & Josephine

Winning Streak

February 2, 2006

Ow wow I still can't believe my awesome luck. I have been on such a losing streak when it comes to applying for fanlistings that I want. Those that I haven't been rejected on I haven't even heard a response in at least three months, and that was for both TFL and AFL fanlistings. Hell even when I applied to adopt fanlistings that came up for adoption I kept getting rejected. So I just kind of went application crazy a few weeks back and every topic that was available or became available I applied for them figuring "hey maybe I'll get 1 out of 20"? Truthfully a lot of them were big wishlist kind of fanlistings and I really didn't expect to get them but guess what? The approval emails have begun rolling in and I am now on a winning streak. Granted they're all TFL fanlistings and I haven't heard anything on my AFL applications but hey, I'm not gonna complain. This is like a perfect (early) birthday present. I've only got one fanlisting that isn't up yet since I can't seem to come up with any ideas for a fanlisting. But all the others you can view and join now if you want. So here's the list thus far:
Eye Candy: Orgy (Musicians: Bands/Groups)
Never Alone: Raksha Keller -Night World Series by LJ Smith (Characters: Books/Movies)
Kitten With Claws: Rashel Jordan -Night World Series by LJ Smith (Characters: Books/Movies)
Paparazzinazis: Marilyn Manson's "Better of Two Evils" (Songs: Bands/Groups)
Rawk-n-Roll: Thousand Foot Krutch (Musicians: Bands/Groups)

Rashel Jordan's fanlisting is the one I'm stuck on right now. If there are any fans of LJ Smith's Night World Series out there I'm open to suggestions. I'm still waiting on several other fanlistings right now, the majority of which are AFL.org related of course. So keep your fingers crossed for me everyone, here's hoping the rest are approvals as well. Especially for the ones I've been waiting for over three months to hear something back on.

Fanlisting crazziness aside, I haven't been online much lately and I apologizing for just ditching everyone like that. My schedule is a bit time consuming and to top it off I've come down with a cold. I hate being sick. Hell today I slept in and missed my Anthropology 315 class. I slept through the alarm and everything. The only reason I woke up is because my cat Isis got tired of waiting on me to get up and feed her and decided batting my nose till I got up was the perfect wake up call. Gotta luv her.
