Eh gads folks its been awhile since I've had a chance to post int his thing ne? Anyway, to bring you update with whats been going on in my life lets re-cap a bit:
I had to quit my job with Cutco, which is a good thing because otherwise I'd have three jobs and then I'd really be going crazy, but I digress. Our manager, Tommy, got an offer to work out of one of the main offices in California and naturally after all our hardwork to become a District office so we could stay open year round (instead of a Branch Office that we were) he accepts and goes out there. Our office closed down, for the fall it will re-open in the summer (yippee -_-') and we were integrated with the El Paso office, our rivals. Weekly team meetings were a hassle for me as it was in Las Cruces, there was no way I could squeeze in order turn ins, even more weekly and weekendly meetings in El Paso for crying out loud, so bye bye Cutco.
I am still working for Special Events at the Pan Am. The highlight of that job was being dressing room security for the Deftones ^_^ they are so cool and nice in person. I could go on and on forever on that topic. Er remind me to come back to it later. Anyway so I went looking for another job and lo and behold I got one. I'm a cashier at the gas station Sav - O - Mat now. I started out there as a part timer, however we were severly understaffed, three shifts (24hr store) and three people to do them. You can do the math right? Anyway between working a daily eight hour shift, 14 credit hours oc University and studying I was pretty much dead on my feet these past weeks. Now throw in the end of the semester and finals week and we have our reason I have not updated any of my sites in well over a month.
I'm starting to just now get back on my feet finacially, weeks/months without a steady pay check and a plethora of bills to pay tends to break a person, so I'll be cutting back on my hours a bit, especially since we have more help at the store now. Heres hoping my grades didn't suffer too bad. x_X! I think I'll pass my History class (and I'm usually wonderful at History!) with a D or a C. Math is bound to be about a C MAYBE a B. Criminal Justice dropped down to a B and Anthropology is hovering between an A or a B. My GPA will definately be higher than last semester's, but will I be put on Academic probation and lose my finacial aid is the million dollar question right now.
In January I start working part-part time at Del Valle Bookkeeping/ Taxman Tax Services for the second tax season in a row. A lot of people tell me I'm good at business and finances as it is, once they hear of me returning to this job there will be more pressure from some to become an Accountant or at least a Business major. A lot of people seem to think I'm wasting my talents as a Forensic Science and Criminal Justice major. -_-' Need I remind people I SUCK at math? Thought not.
Now while doing time at Cutco, ye goddess that sounds like I went to prison, I was earning money as self-employed, no taxes taken out of my paycheck so heres hoping the taxes taken out of my other checks from my other jobs will cover that and maybe, maybe since I file single and no dependents I dont even claim myself since I am a dependent of another plus I kept all my expenses, gas bills, and milelage from the job that I wont owe anything and in fact will get something back!
. . . . . re-reading that last statement really makes me sound like some business/accounting freak. I am so out of here on that note.
