Halloween Nails to the Max

It’s been a long time since I posted here, hasn’t it? Only befitting that I return to regular blogging in the month of my favorite holiday and with a whimsical post then!
All October long I’ve been painting my nails in Halloween colors. For the first week of October/last week of September they were just solid orange with black tips. For the second week of October I left them mostly clear and tipped them in orange with a thin black stripe between the clear and orange and the finger next to the pinkie on both hands had a jack-o-lantern face. But for the last stretch of Halloween I really wanted to go all. Initially all month long my nails were going to be done in a candy corn fashion with the thumbs and middle fingers being jack-o-lanterns, but since my yellow nail polish was dried out I nixed that idea. Instead I decided to try my hand at a variety of styles. Naturally my left hand has the more detailed stuff and just looks better, not surprising since I am right-handed, but even the right hand came out pretty good this time.

Left hand, starting with thumb: black with white skeleton; green with black graveyard silhouette of a tree, crescent moon, and tombstone; jack o lantern; Frankenstein; monster fangs.

Right hand, starting with thumb: Jack Skellington; purple background with black bat; red glowing eyes in the dark; eyeball; and gray tombstone with green grass at base and has RIP and a cross on it.

Hello!!! Was really happy to see you pop up in my feeds and with HALLOWEEN NAILS, too! Yay!
Your nails look awesome! Never thought to get that crafty with my nails for Halloween. I have been known to Christmasify my nails, but for some reason never thought to do it for my favourite holiday!
Awesome nails! I can’t do that on my nails, so I have them done professionally.
I haven’t done Halloween yet (unless you count that my nails are currently Frankenstein green), but next week when I get them done, they’ll be black with spiderwebs.
Cat,
Aww, I’m so glad to hear that! It’s great to be back actually. I allowed stress and unpleasantness from certain IRL people to take away something I love (blogging) and I’m hoping to begin taking that back. I don’t know when I’ll start up on my book review blog again, just because I get so little time to read now a days that it takes forever to finish a book, but I hope to return to that as well.
Did you get a chance to do your nails for Halloween after all? I must admit, I generally go simple for Halloween, despite it being my favorite holiday as well, but this year I really wanted to be creative.
Ooh, Christmasfy…you must take pictures of your nails when you do them this year!
Charity,
That sounds like a cool design to get, are you going to post pictures?
I just can’t go get my nails done professionally. Simply because I don’t have the patience to sit there for them to do them (at home at leas when my nails are wet I can watch a movie, surf the net, read, something) and I’m just stingy.
Just can’t pay someone to do something I can kinda-sorta do on my own. LOL
