I hate people that do that :( My dad had something similar happening to him a while back. One of the bosses at one of his past jobs was bad mouthing left and right and he kept getting turned down for jobs until he took him off his resume. That sucks about the viruses too. I think I had a similar one trying to download to my computer too. Kept randomly flashing a screen telling me it was searching for viruses or something and that I needed to download something called "Personal Antivirus" or something like that. I used Spybot Search and Destroy which never found anything but I noticed I stopped getting the popups. Good luck with the job search!
