The Bad News Continues

It’s looking like I won’t be seeing Pyro up on any car lifts any time soon. The reason is simple, apparently my credit score is too low to even get a $1,000 loan from my bank. And no, I have no idea what my credit score is because, apparently, they’re not allowed to tell me what my score is. My grandfather insists upon going with me again tomorrow so that I can try again, but this time he’ll cosign for me or just get the loan completely under his name and see if it’ll work that way. He refuses to let me just give up and throw the towel in. The struggle to get Pyro fixed continues on.

While I was in Las Cruces when I got a call from my supervisor at work asking me to come in. Apparently they’ve secured a new contract and this time it’s with American Express. Wells Fargo’s requirements for employees to call on their program were different since we really didn’t have any access to the individual client’s personal information. American Express is going to be different and required that we resubmit to background checks.

Of course now that I find out my credit score is low now I have to wonder if I’ll pass. After all, some background checks include a credit score check to see if you might be a “risk” as you’ll be “tempted” to steal or sell information and what not. I won’t know if I passed until tomorrow when they’re supposed to call. If I do pass, then supposedly I might be able to start working again on Thursday. This week’s paycheck is so going to suck.

Bit of good news though, I picked up my check today and cashed it so there’s money in the bank.

Well, if it’s any consolation, I worked for Capital One credit cards and I have a low credit score. Hopefully they aren’t so strict that they’d disqualify you for it. :(

Hello. I can certainly empathize with you. My car broke down and Im without one for the rest of the week. Too bad ur grandfather didnt get a loan but then again, u should be thankful he wont have to pay monthly amortizations. “Taking the good with the bad” Well i’ll be. :-)

Wow that sucks that your credit score is low and you can’t get that loan. At least your grandfather is nice enough to help you out and try to cosign or get it in his name. Hopefully you’ll pass your background check. Nowadays bad credit is so common that it would be really messed up for jobs to turn you away because of that. Maybe after you get Pyro fixed you should change your insurance to cover more things, not just liability.
