No Job and Rising Bills

And there still hasn’t been any word back yet from DialAmerica. I am intensely glad that I went ahead and filed for unemployment benefits because, let’s face, I don’t think they’re calling me back any time soon. I have two small checks coming from the still; one for two days of work and another for only one since we’re paid weekly. I’ll pick them up next week on Wednesday (second payday means the second check is in), since I am borrowing vehicles for the time being, I’d rather make as little trips up there as possible.

Got my car insurance paid today, that wiped out a good chunk of funds. Here’s the bright side to being twenty-five, my car insurance is a heck of a lot cheaper now. Although, I think I will be shopping around for low cost auto insurance soon anyway. State Farm was cheaper, in the past, because my mother and grandfather are with them and the office is here in town. This is a small local town where everyone knows everyone. That just about says it all. Now though, I just might be able to find insurance cheaper elsewhere so I’ll do some price comparison.

Money is going to be tight for a while, no doubt about it. It looks like it’ll be in my best interest to take my grandfather up on his offer and borrow money from him to get the car fixed up ASAP. This way I have reliable transportation again and can really start hunting for a job properly.

It sucks that you’re out of work right now. At least you can borrow money from your Grandpa, so that is helpful and nice of him. And since you live with your family, you don’t have to worry about rent or mortgages, you should be able to last whatever is left in your funds.
