Unfortunately, they feel if you have a degree, then they have to pay you more. So you’re “over-qualified” because you’ll cost too much. Nevermind that you’d be wiling to work for less.

I hear you there. I’ve only been called for 2 interviews, and I’m starting to think that the fact that I went from a call center that paid $9 an hour to applying for cashier at Target, etc, is why they don’t hire me. UGH. This job market stinks.

I am sorry for the situation you are experiencing during your applying on job. You are qualified but then they will tell you your over qualified. I guess it’s not the quality of the education you have is their requirements but whom you know. Don’t loose hope you can find job also.
