I think it's really good you shave your cat so the warm weather has a little less impact on her. My choco lab has short hair, but with the sun out he's gets very hot too. He's also an older dog so we're careful with him too. When it's hot outside we take it very slow and just go out more and do shorter walks instead of long walks.
