Why Did it Have to Rain?!

Rants and Raves - - Posted on August, 14 at 11:06 pm

Honestly, it hasn’t rained for a bit now, I thought our rain season had finally come to an end. So when I went out earlier this evening I saw no reason not to wear my nice new sandals. No reason what so ever.

Now they are most certainly not Beautifeel shoes, which are these awesome shoes that both look good and feel good, but they were still awesome regardless. Well, after the skies decided to open up on me and totally drench me, my shoes underwent some interesting changes. The leather straps completely stretched and warped big time, not to mention dyed my feet an interesting shade of black. The shoes are sitting in the bathroom now, trying to dry out, but they won’t be the same any time soon.

And honestly, you’d think sandals could stand up to some water. Granted, it was a bucket load of water, but still. They’re sandals!! :wtf:

You’ve got to love our unpredictable weather. :grr: At least now the electricity has stopped flickering on and off. It was on for the most part, but then it would flicker for a few seconds, or switch to half-power, and each time the desktop would shut down. Eventually I caved and decided to wait until the electricity stopped fluctuating. Nothing like being in the middle of something and having the computer turn off on you to sour your mood.

That sucks that the rain ruined your shoes. You’re right though, shoe makers need to make shoes a little bit more durable.

    Julie,

One would think that shoes, especially sandals (which are meant to get wet!) would be made more durable. But apparently shoe makers have different opinions.

Just tried to slip my feet in, and I swear, I might as well be trying to wear size 9’s. It’s like they shrunk!
