Watch Out Roswell: Folks in Stephenville, Texas are seeing UFO’s too!

Yup, that’s right. Roswell, New Mexico is no longer the main destination for extraterrestrials visiting planet Earth, their new destination hot spot seems to be Stephenville, Texas:
In this farming community where nightfall usually brings clear, starry skies, residents are abuzz over reported sightings of what many believe is a UFO.
Several dozen people — including a pilot, county constable and business owners — insist they have seen a large silent object with bright lights flying low and fast. Some reported seeing fighter jets chasing it.
Do you think they really saw a UFO or is this a small town’s attempt to become famous? It’s not unheard of for a small and otherwise unknown town to do something extreme for attention, just take a look at T or C, New Mexico.
Do UFO’s and extraterrestrials (aliens) exist? Personally I think it’s absurd to think we are the only planet with living life forms on it. We have found evidence that life once existed on other planets in our solar system and there are millions and millions of other galaxies out there with who knows how many solar systems in them. Is it beyond possible that there are other beings out there traversing space?

I think it’s ignorant to believe we are the only planet with life on it. There are billions of galaxies out there just like ours, how can we possibly think we’re alone?
Kat,
Well you know, humans are notorious for believing themselves to be superior to all other life forms on Earth. The whole, geocentric vs. heliocentric debate is proof enough of that.
Personally I believe that it is highly probable that there is life out there. Whether or not they’re coming to visit Earth is debatable. Present technology suggests that trips through space would take lifetimes so my mind simply cannot comprehend the sort of technology that would be required to travel such long distances in a reasonable amount of time.
I’m with you, we can’t be the only ones out here. However, I do find it strange that we don’t have actual proof that outsiders have tried to visit us, just Enquirer type articles.
Julie,
Yes, while there has been evidence proving life exists and existed on other planets, there has been no evidence that any life forms have tried to contact or reach us.
Of course, given how seriously fucked up humanity is and the fact that we are the dominant species on this planet, would you really want to visit us?
^Haha! But, since we know little about other life forms, what makes them know so much about us to know to avoid us? Huh huh?
Thats what i get for taking my air car out for a cruise the other night.
Oh well.
mcangeli,
That’s why you’re supposed to read AND follow the instructions in the owner’s manual silly. You can only drive air cars during designated hours and along designated routes.
*chomps carrot* You didn’t take the left at Albuquerque, did you?
You’re right; in a universe this vast, we cannot be the only living things. Perhaps the was once life somewhere else? Or maybe in a far, far, far away place that we cannot reach yet due to our technological limits? Or maybe, we’ll all die one day and millions of years after our death, a new species will come and then we’ll be the “there used to be life forms here… we think.”
