Visability is Poor But the Houses Aren’t Flying!

I can just see the “WTF?!” expressions on everyone’s faces after reading that post title. Here, does this help clear things up?

Maybe the phrase “clear up” isn’t the exact phrase I should have used.
But right now, that’s the view you’re treated to when you step one foot outside of the house. No, it’s not fog, major cloud coverage, smog, or anything else like that. It’s the dust being kicked up by the steady wind we’re being pounded with. It’s been that way the entire day too, which royally bites. The kitchen floor is covered in a film of dust which gets thicker every time someone opens the door to go outside. And no matter how much you sweep, the dust lingers. Just going outside for those pictures had my eyes stinging from the sand.. Ugh, and you should see the pile of building sand between the screen and wood door at the front of the house. Scary.

I haven’t seen any flying houses yet, or women on bicycles and brooms either, so I think we’re good. Plus, the wind seems to be staying low grade, albeit steady. I was fully intending on washing and cleaning my car today too. Ironic neh? I tired to get a shot of a dirt devil earlier, I thought that would look really cool. Alas, for my efforts all I got was a mouthful of sand. Blegh.
