Very Nice Deals this Week!

You know what’s great about Buy.com? You don’t have to wait for special sales to come along, they always have great deals. But what’s even better is that they have a Weekly Deals sale that goes on, you guessed it, every week. :D

You may be wondering why I’m bringing this up though, right? Ah, well, my friend, it’s very simple. I have a long list of goodies, mostly electronic, that I’ve been meaning to buy. Some I could really use right now, but most fall into the category of I’d really really like it, but I can wait, I guess.

I saw a couple of kick-butt laptops on the weekly deals this week. But getting another laptop would be a totally frivolous expense for me. I am torn between getting the Targus AMW01US Wireless Mouse ($15.99) and the Logitech Labtec WebCam Pro for $10.00.

I already have a Targus mouse for my laptop right now, but it’s one with a cord and sometimes that cord annoys the hell out of me. It’s a retractable cord so it has this annoying big plastic thing in the center where the cord will retract to. I don’t have a problem pulling the cord out to use, which seems to be the major gripe for most people. My problem is that I always seem to smack it with my hand, which throws my concentration off when I’m editing graphics. There I am, tracing an outline in the graphic I am working on with my mouse, the plastic bit moves with the cord and falls off the mouse pad to the side. I don’t notice and I keep going, after so much movement, I try to move the mouse some more and the plastic bit catches on the side of the pad. There goes my concentration and my mouse has just swerved erratically and messed up my hard work.

For this reason, the Targus AMW01US Wireless Stow-N-Go Rechargeable Mouse would be exceptionally wonderful to have when I’m working on graphic editing. No annoying cord and plastic bit (I think it might be called a reel?) to get in my way! Not to mention, when I’m on the go, need my laptop, but don’t really have room to station the mouse. Because it’s wireless the mouse could be further away from the laptop than a cord would allow. Yes, laptops have their own mouse-thin built in, but I can’t use those for graphics (not coordinated enough) and honestly they tend to irk me more than anything else. I pretty much always plug in my mouse. :cute:

Of course, the webcam looks especially tempting since I don’t have a webcam as of yet. It would be easier to make videos with it instead of my digital camera, which since it doesn’t record voice, forces me to do some dubbing and voice overs every time I need audio to accompany the images. Of course, technically, it’s not something I need…but I really really do want one!. *pouts*

I too hate the touch-pad mouse that comes with the laptop! I can’t properly edit graphics with it either. I always have to get on the desktop to do them. Grrr. I want a mouse for mine, but I have to have a USB mouse and all I have are P/S2 mice. *sigh*
