Uninformed Employees and Overpriced Food

That about sums up how I feel about Severo’s right now. I just got off the phone with them after trying – for ten minutes – to place an order. Just a simple chile relleno plate and a hamburger plate. Strangely enough it’s not the chile relleno plate they had trouble comprehending – it was the hamburger plate. We have been ordering hamburger plates from them since they opened years ago. The plate consists, very simply, of a hamburger and fries, yet tonight I had employees swearing up and down that I was dumb and that they had never had a hamburger plate. I must be talking about Chope’s.

I got passed around from employee to employee before one of them finally took my order, told me it would be 20 minutes, and that my total was $14.55.

Fuck that shit, I canceled the order and we’re getting burgers from Burger King. Fuck this shit. If I’m going to pay nearly $20 for burgers and wait 20 minutes I’m going up to Anthony for burgers. Besides, at least there they won’t be talking down to me, or cussing me out, as was the case of one employee who loudly proclaimed that I was a “stupid bitch” in the background.

Edit: Got back not 30 minutes later (round trip) and got two mustard whoppers, no onions, a large order of french fries and a large order of onion rings for only $8.83. Beats the hell out of a 20 minute wait, plus time waiting for the order to brought and paid for and driving back home, and paying $15 dollars to called a stupid bitch.

    Indeed it was. Even though Severo’s is one of only two restaurants here in the town/village I will never be buying food from there again. No thank you, I’ll order from Chope’s, or head over to Vado, Las Cruces, or El Paso for food.

    Wow, that’s just plain stupid employee-customer relations. Do they teach them nothing there? You should call and complain, and I mean extra-complain here, especially about the “stupid bitch” comment. That’s just… Gods, I can’t picture how employees could be that incompetent. Everybody know that, unless you’re a total newb, you either know then menu or bring one with you to the phone. That, and you NEVER insult a customer, even if, unlike you, they deserve it.

    That’s horrible service! Those people seriously need to know what’s on the goddamned menu! Glad you took your money elsewhere!
