They Want to Charge You What?!

The guy at Crawford Auto took his sweet time faxing over the list of parts and prices to my mother, but when it finally arrived, she took it over to a friend of hers and his words were:

Let me see that, that’s wrong, that’s not right either. All of this is bullshit! I’ll go pick up your car and fix!

Now mind you, this was in Spanish so that’s not a perfect translation, and I left out the expletives, but that’s essentially what Ramon said. So on Saturday, after I get off work, Mom and I are going over to Crawford Auto to settle the account and Ramon is going to go pick up the car on Monday.

See, what’s great is that he has a flatbed trailer as well, so he’s going to go in his personal truck, with his trailer, and pick up my car. All of which have NM plates, and since it’s a personal vehicle and not a work vehicle registered with DOT, no stopping at the scales is necessary. Although, he does have a DOT number in case he does need it.

This is a big relief for me because now my Pyro is going to finally start getting fixed. Yeah, it’s just been sitting there untouched until now. I trust Ramon to not only work on my car and do a damn fine job of it, but to also get it done in a reasonable time span and I’m not going to be over charged either.

That’s awesome that he’s able to get your car from them and fix it for cheaper. So good to know people.

Lucky you! You can have someone you trust work on it!
