The Catheter Has Been Removed!

Yup, despite waking up at fifteen till 7, and living a good half-hour away, we managed to get to the doctor’s office with fifteen minutes to spare before his appointment.
This was only made possible because I was doing 85 and 90mph on the freeway.
Anyway, they removed the catheter without any trouble and warned us again that if he couldn’t relieve himself by noon he would need to come back in. No worries though, because almost as soon as we got home he had to go to the restroom. So now my grandfather is truly well on his way to recovering at last.
One of the nurses was a bit of an oddball though. When she was taking my grandfather back to remove the catheter she asked me if I wanted to watch.
I couldn’t see the look on my grandfather’s face, but the receptionist and I had twin looks of horror on our faces. Needless to say, I passed on that gracious offer. Far too early in the morning to be traumatized for life.

It’s good to hear that your grandfather is feeling better, your right that nurse was a bit of an oddball lol.
LMAO why would they ask you if you wanted to watch. What creepy nurses. Glad he’s doing ok!
Great to hear that the catheter is out and your grandfather is doing well.
I think some nurses forget that no one really wants to see that part of their grandparents! LOL Not an offer I’d have taken either.
what a rrelief - scary stuff to be in the hospital - not pleasant at all
