Do you recall me mentioning how a dog had gotten abandoned and decided to make our home his home? Well, before animal control came by to pick him up, Denali thought it was within her rights to go outside, unknown dog be damned.

Of course, once she realized that there was an unknown dog out there she wasn’t too thrilled and took off in a blind panic. It took a lot of effort to eventually nab her and bring her back inside the house. It was made doubly worse when she thought to prove her courage to the dog and fought everyone.

Even now, days later, my finger is still throbbing and smarting. The images to your left and below give you a pretty good idea of what my finger looks like. I took these shots not longer the finger started swelling. It actually looks a little worse now then it does in the pictures as the discoloration hadn’t started yet when I snapped these pictures.

Yeah, she got me good. I’ve got five different puncture wounds on the knuckle of my right hand’s middle finger. It swelled up beautifully, to the point that I couldn’t really bend it at all. Even now it’s still swollen and nicely discolored. My arm and hand look like someone alternated between stabbing me continuously with a needle and slicing me open with a blade for fun.

I know, I know, she was scared and it’s natural reaction to defend herself. But it doesn’t stop me from seeing red every I jar my finger when I grab the cabinet knobs in the kitchen trying to get a dish or glass down.
