Stay Cozy with the Cabin Cuddler

Our house is an old farm house that had an addition built onto it later on. The wiring is old and it would really be more money than it’s worth to rewire the whole thing. As a result we have a swamp cooler and a gas heater instead of central heating and cooling. Something that my mother, who we jokingly call “cold blooded”, laments constantly.

Cabin_cuddler Keeping that in mind, I think I finally have found the perfect gift for my mother’s upcoming birthday. I think it’ll be something that she’ll like, not to mention, she’ll get plenty of use out of it. And that, my readers, is the best sort of gift in my books. I just found out about this nifty thing called the Cabin Cuddler which is basically a blanket and pillow wrapped all in one.

It’s being advertised as an airline travel blanket because it came keep you warm and toasty without taking up a whole lot of space, not to mention, unlike your favorite pillow or blanket, is more than likely going to be clean and ready to go at the time of travel. It also can be folded up to go into its own little tote and can hang off of your luggage! Plus it has a sort of “pocket” that will keep your feet warm as well. So awesome. :cute:

Now see, the reason this caught my attention is, like I said, it’ll get the job done without taking up a lot of space. Because the computer room in the house is located near the swamp cooler (air conditioner) that room gets nice and cold at night while the rest of the house is “just right” during the summer. This means my mom is sitting there freezing but won’t turn off the swamp cooler because the rest of the house isn’t really cool yet.

And if that’s not bad enough, the owner of the building that my mom’s work is located in is cheap. That means that the heating and cooling units that control the temperature for the offices that he works out of work perfectly all the time. Everyone else is just S.O.L. So during the winter, whenever the heat is on the fritz, she could use the cabin cuddler to stay warm without having to pile on layer after layer of sweaters and jackets that ultimately restrict movement. :)
