She Shares My Name and I Wish to Throttle Her

No, I don’t want to throttle her because she shares my name. Rather, I’d like to strangle her because she is quickly becoming the bane of my existence. At first I just ignored it, but now I am seriously becoming harassed. I’m getting phone calls at all hours of the day asking for Joana, but it’s not me.
Yesterday, somebody, I think it was her kid in school, had a fever of a 104 and they were trying to reach her. This morning a co-worker called to tell her she was running later. Well, good for you, I don’t give a damn I am NOT the Joana you are trying to contact!
I’ve gotten calls from her case worker, whatever that’s about, the real estate agent she’s working with to help her get a home - just all over her the place. Even her damn husband has called my cell. I swear, the next person to call me asking for her is going to get royally chewed out because I have just had it up to here with this nonsense. 
At first I thought it was some ploy by telemarketers, then I was thinking maybe identity theft. Instead it appears my namesake is a bimbo whose phone number is close enough to mine that she continuously gives out the wrong number.
Come on, someone call me asking for her. I can’t wait to let into you. Most of the time you get my voice mail because I’m away from my phone, but now I’m keeping it next to me for the sole purpose of thoroughly bitching you all out.

I had a similar situation a couple years ago, my old cell phone number was apparently close to someone elses. I got a whole lot of very strange messages, the most disturbing was “Hello (whatever her name is), This is the local hospital. Please call back as soon as possible, we need an answer.”
How annoying! How could someone give out the wrong phone number consitantly!!!

ooh, really makes you wonder if they ever got a hold of the person they wanted huh?
The thing is, I’ve had this same number for several years now. The only thing I can think of is that she’s with a provider who carries the 94 digits in the first three numbers. I have 49. She could have the rest of the number the same and it’s just those two numbers getting flipped. I dunno. But since this has been happening for a while now you would think she’d learn her number by now.

That’s so ridiculous. I mean it’s one thing to keep getting phone calls for people who used to have your number. That’s annoying and makes you want to kick people for not updating their lives. But to have one idiot with a similar name and number keep giving out the wrong number, that’s just stupid. Did you learn what her number is? Maybe you should do the same to her.
