One Year Closer to the Grave

Yup that’s right, Joana is one year older now, but I can’t say I’m any wiser. Yesterday was my birthday, although if one was to judge by my gifts, they might have thought Valentine’s arrived a couple of days early. *sigh* Some things never change.
Most of my family decided to go the safe and easy route and opted with birthday and valentines cards with gift cards or money stuffed inside. For once no one really made a big fuss out of my birthday, which was exceptionally nice. I got to just kick back and relax instead of being dragged all over town.
Not that I don’t appreciate people wanting to celebrate my birthday, it’s just I’d rather have a small affair with family and friends instead of a big old night on the town sort of event. Know what I mean?
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some dvd boxsets to go watch.
I got season one of La Femme Nikita and season one of Thundercats for my birthday and I am dying to watch ‘em. So I’m going to go pop in some dvds, pop some popcorn and nibble on Valentine candy.

See I’m completely different, normally, I want to relax, but on my birthday, I want to be everyone’s princess heh. But yay that you had a good one that you like, with no fussing and crazyness. Enjoy watching your boxsets
I’m glad you had a good birthday. and enjoy your DVDs. :] It sounds like my kind day. haha. I like to relax on my birthdays and just chill. Last year my boyfriend and my best friends threw me a surprise party though, it was pretty cool. ;]
Belated Happy Birthday, Joana.
I had a pretty good one too…. back in (end of) January.
