Oi Cat - Cut That Out!

Home Life, Paw Prints, Rants and Raves - - Posted on February, 17 at 7:53 pm

What is it about cabinet knobs that cats find so appealing?

For the past half hour now I’ve been alternating between checking my email and getting up to shoo Denali out of the kitchen. I barely sit back down and I see her slink back into the kitchen out of the corner of my eye. Within minutes I hear banging and knocking coming from the kitchen. I get up to investigate, and there is Denali, sitting in front of the kitchen cabinents, batting and pawing at the knobs and handles.

It’s not like they’re moving and teasing her or anything. So what is with the fascination all of a sudden? Normally this is the cat that pops open the doors to get into the cabinets to play around. Not play with the cabinet’s doors itself. *throws her hands up in the air* There she goes again!

maybe there is a spider or a food substance in there that she wants. or maybe she just wants so peace and alone time.

My cat does that too. She’s gotten some good paw strength and can open them, crawl in, mess up whatever is inside and make a hell of a lot of noise trying to open them back up. Cats, I tell ya, are such adorable trouble.

    Explanation: Is shiny object.

My cats sit in front of the car when it’s parked in the driveway and stare at their reflections in the headlights.
