My Poor Nose!
Health and Beauty, Home Life - - Posted on July, 12 at 9:26 am
We’ve been on the receiving end of a lot of rain this past week. In fact, just the other day Dona Ana country’s rainfall for the year tripled in a single day!
That’s not really the bad thing though. Well, aside from the constant muggy feeling and the copious amounts of mud and standing water.
The bad thing is the standing water and what it brings - mosquitoes. Early this morning they had a plane over head and dropping insecticide to combat the mosquitoes. I’m not sure what it is about the stuff, but it sent my allergies into rebellion. My eyes started watering and my nose has been funky all morning long. Now normally it takes a very large amount of dust, pollen, or animal dandruf to set me a sneezing. However, whatever was in that insecticide has really messed with me, because just about everything is setting me today.
It’s days like this where I wish we had something like an IQAir in the house to help filter the air. Of course, days like this are pretty rare which would make it kind of not necessary for us.
Really, I’d just like to dismantle a certain aircraft and smack a certain pilot around. That would make me feels loads better.

Oh sounds awful! Mosquitoes are terrible but having the pesticide cause awful allergies is just the worst “present”.
UGH! I think I’d rather deal with the mosquitoes than the allergy issues caused by the pesticide!
Wow… that’s pretty bad. Why would they use such an insecticide that causes so many reactions to the wrong people? Arg.
I am also grateful for the rain, but I sympathize with you about the mosquitos and the pesticide. I hope you start feeling better soon.
