Maybe That Will Shut Them Up!

Remember how I said that Discover card has been bugging me? Well they called again, and this time stayed on the phone long enough for me to actually answer it, and I explained [again!] my situation and what I had told the woman who had called me a few days back.

Get this, apparently she conveniently forgot to note that not only did I explain why I hadn’t been able to make a fully payment, but that I had said I would make a payment this week and finish paying the rest after that. Just as Charity had suggested. This time around I got a woman who was very polite and understanding. She apologized for the continuous calls that had been unnecessary and her fellow associate’s behavior and stated that she was marking it down to take me off the list to be called. Finally!

I’d like to think that’s the end of it, but I won’t hold my breath. Until recently I’ve never had any problems with them, they were always awesome. It was my Capital One card that has given me hell. From mysterious fees that miraculously send me over the limit and “purchases” I sure as hell know I didn’t make (do I look like I would buy Callaway golf clubs?) to just out and out horridness. That’s bad enough, I don’t want to think my Discover card has gone that way too.

The main point is that they finally stopped (or hopefully will stop) calling you. That’s absurd that they keep calling you like that, but with every big company, you’ve got to run into shitty service somewhere.

Well at least you got to talk to someone nice who supposedly wants to be helpful and take you off the call list, hopefully.

I sure hope they do stop calling you! I kind of figured that’s what had happened, since that was the trick the people where I worked used to pull. They’d talk to someone and then not note the account. GRRR! And since you mentioned them, Capital One is the company I worked for. They are as bad to work for as they are to their customers!
