Lens Day: Old
Memes, Shutterbugging - 4 Comments » - Posted on February, 27 at 1:38 pm
As much as I enjoyed doing the Amie St meme, I’m going to have to say goodbye to it for now. After the changes Amie St. did to their site, and the widgets, it takes an extraordinary amount of time to browse for us dial-up users. I just don’t have the patience to sit there that long. Sorry!
There really aren’t that many interesting memes to do on Wednesdays though. *pouts* But I did manage to find one that interested me, the Lens Day meme. Every week a new word will be posted to challenge you to take a picture to fit that theme. I thought it might be kind of fun to join in on.
Anyway, this week’s challenge is “old” and around this house, that was not hard to find.

Remnants of a bygone….dinner maybe?

My grandfather’s old Chevy, which people are always asking to buy and he refuses to sell.
Despite being older than my mother, the truck still runs well. Even though he doesn’t fawn over it and polish it so that it screams “antique!” make no mistake, he loves it.

It needs some repair, but it still runs. My grandfather no longer discs the land around the fruit and nut trees anymore since we never plant anything out there anymore (our garden stays very small now) so sadly it doesn’t get any use anymore.
Now, if you’ll excuse me. I have a nice quiche Loraine sitting in the kitchen begging to be eaten.

Wow you have a tractor? How country of you. Lens day sounds like a good meme. I don’t remember the other one.
Julie,
*sweatdrop* Eh, heh. Well I do live out in the boonies and my grandfather is a farmer. It’s natural to have a tractor. ^^;
Oh gosh, I also hate it when sites go extremely high-tech and update everything too. It all gets too confusing for me and I end up just leaving like you did.
I have a secret yen to be the first female tractor pull winner in the county fair, so that tractor, as every old tractor, fascinates me. I’m glad to meet you! And I’m sure we will meet again
