Leap Day 2008 and Computer Freedom!

My clock tells me it is now after 2 o’clock in the morning, which means it is officially Friday now, February 29th to be exact. So Happy Leap Day folks!

As a member of Blog365 I’m supposed to be taking this as my “day of rest” since it’s an extra day in the year and all. Truthfully though I’d rather save my “day off” for a day when I need it. ;) And judging by the megafeed, I’m not the only one opting to just continue blogging today. Three hundred and sixty-five days in a year, which means at least three hundred and sixty-five posts from yours truly for this year. That’s a rather daunting thought.

Since I have opted not to step away from my computer for the day you can expect to see more posts from yours truly later today. Including a FAnime Friday post! You can expect this FAnime Friday post to be a real winner too since, in a sense, it’s more personal than normal. How is that so? You’ll just have to wait and see. I will give you this hint though, I spent many hours this past week fiddling around with my laptop and becoming more comfortable with Windows Movie Maker. I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m an expert (far from it!) but I can operate it much better now and have more confidence with it.

Speaking of computers, our desktop should be running faster soon. Most of my mother’s accounting stuff will be going onto the other computer this weekend. So that’s a lot of disk drive and RAM that is going to be getting cleared up. Not all of it will be going (sadly) but a good majority of it at least.

It probably seems mean and selfish of me to be wanting all of her stuff gone, huh? Well, it’s mainly because, for some odd reason, since she has one program on an external drive (Quickbooks 2005) sometimes when I’m in the middle of something that damn installer pops up and wants to install updates and what not. I have to keep clicking cancel. :grr: She has 2007 on the computer but has to keep the 2005 because that’s what one client uses for his books. Such a pain. Not to mention that’s not the only program on here either. Is it really a wonder this computer is so slow?

Haha rule breaker, no rest for you. Yay for a faster computer soon though, cause slow computers are the butt.

    Happy Leap Day as well!!
It still feels weird because it’s an extra day in February.
I once had a boyfriend who was born today on a leap year.
That must be exciting to finally have a faster desktop!! That’s always so much better!
Speaking of which… I should clear mine as well..
