I Hate Birthdays

Actually, it would probably be more accurate to say I hate buying gifts. I’m never really sure what to get the person, let alone if they’ll actually use it or even like it. :grr: Then of course, just to make the whole process a little more difficult, I’m also low on cash right now too. Great!

I’ve been checking out the weekly sale at Buy.com for just this reason. And even though I’ve found items of interest (to me) I haven’t really found anything that I feel would make a decent gift and September 26th is fast approaching. :(

Yeah, the 26th of September is my mother’s birthday. Everything that I can think of that she would need is pretty much out of my price range by well over a hundred dollars or so. That of course only leaves things I think she might enjoy. I’ve overheard her and a couple of friends talk about Six Feet Under and right now Buy.com has the complete fifth season on sale for only $21. For a complete season that is not a bad price at all, in fact, that’s damn good. I’m just unsure if that would make a good birthday present.

What do you guys think, what would make a good gift for my mom? Any suggestions? Think she might getting the fifth season set?

    I hate shopping for presents when im skint =( and every year things just seem to be getting more expensive! I think the box set sounds like a good idea at least you know she will like it and it not over budget for you either.

    I’ve never heard of the show, but if she watches it and likes it, then it will make a great gift. You know your Mom doesn’t expect you to spend hundreds on a birthday present for her, and she’ll love whatever you got her because you’re her daughter.

    I’ve only heard of it in passing myself. The name kind of caught my interest, but I never bothered to look into it. :) I know she’ll like whatever I get her, but I still try to get something that has some meaning. KWIM? I think I found something better though!
