Gang Bangers and Graffiti Suck

Early this morning the sky was completely overcast. Gray skies with big fluffy clouds stretched across the horizon coupled with freezing cold wind – perfect snow weather. It cleared up around noon and when I glanced outside I was rather awed by the sight of a bright blue sky and fluffy cumulus clouds. I happened to glance towards the east and saw the sky was still gray in that direction and that the mountains looked beautiful wreathed with clouds. Since I’ve been trying to get photos of the clouds and mountains for a header I scurried inside for my camera. I decided to walk down the canal for a better shot of the mountains. I ended up standing next to the irrigation pump by the cotton fields and was greeted with this sorry sight:
The first thing I noticed was the tree. I had turned down the path and happened to catch the tree out of the corner of my eye. Once I saw the tree I spotted everything else. Honestly, they tagged a tree, an irrigation ditch, and an irrigation gate. What the hell?
The sorry thing is that this is off a canal road and isn’t even located further “in town”. We’ve been seeing folks sitting in their vehicles down there in the evening and early mornings, but we kind of assumed it was the EBID (Elephant Butte Irrigation District) ditch riders checking on things. There were also a handful of shotgun casings and broken glass on the ground too. Lovely.

Aww that really sucks. I hate people who graffiti like that. I mean really, level of inteligence = 0.

My thoughts exactly! Not to mention, I still can’t get over the fact that they vandalized a poor tree. For crying out loud, Mother Nature should smite them.
Some people are just too stupid to do such things. I even encounter some too in our place “caught-in-the-act” vandalizing a newly and beautifully painted park tables. Such a waste for the one who work for it nice.
That’s sad. If it wasn’t gang oriented then it was just someone being disrespectful and dumb either way it sucks. I wonder how they would like being spray painted. …
