Finally Getting Rid of the Bike

I found an interesting flier stuck to our screen door today. It will be beneficial to me, and thankfully, I found it before my grandfather saw it.

What, Joana is interested in getting the trees trimmed? Hardly, please notice the bold part.
I have an old motorcycle, a ’76 Honda CL360, that I have been wanting to get off of my hands for a while now, and hey, if they want to buy it I’ll be more than happy to sell it to them. I could use the money after all and I’m never going to get that bike fixed up and running.
I know what you’re probably thinking, well besides the Joana has a motorcycle and she’s not going to fix it up and get it running again?! The thing is, I don’t know enough to fix this sucker up and get him running. On top of that I don’t have the keys anymore and I don’t have the title for the sucker either. A friend gave me the motorcycle and another was supposed to help me fix it up. Relations became…rocky…to say the least. Without going into all the details, Friend B gave me the bike and was a friend of C who was dating A at the time. A was going to help me fix the bike, but then things went sour between C and A. I was viewed as taking A’s side so B stopped talking to me. Later A met D and unable to really let go of her past with C, ruined the relationship with D. A then decided that every friend she had who tried to help her weren’t her friends after all.
You can see why I just don’t want to keep the bike anymore. Plus, B said she lost the title somewhere along with the keys. I have to wonder if she even has a title for it anymore. So I just want it off my hands now.
At first I was thinking of donating it, but although I’ve seen places, such as Car Angel, that take car donations, I haven’t found one for bikes. Then there is the fact that I could use the money and I certainly don’t make enough to itemize my tax return so it’s not like I could take a donation as a tax deduction anyway. *sigh* In my case it’s better to sale it.
Car Angel, by the way, is a non-profit organization that uses car donations to make videos for children and young adults, who have apparently given away over 2.4 million videos like this one below:
So why was I glad that I saw the flier before my grandfather did? He has a habit of selling people’s vehicles without their consent if they’re not using them very often or at all. He’s been trying to find a buyer for my mother’s old car (which admittedly I really wish she would just get rid of) for a bit now. He even tried to sell my bike on his own too, thankfully I have the bike chained down and the tank removed from the body and under lock and key elsewhere. There has been one too many times a certain neighbor has taken it upon himself to liberate his neighbors of their property that isn’t bolted down. So my grandfather can’t exactly sell the bike without telling me.
He did, however, sell my uncle’s car that he was in the process of restoring which is why I was glad I saw this flier before he did.

I think that’s kind of rude of your grandfather to do. I mean, it’s your bike, not his, right? Anyway, he’s old and you probably can’t teach him any new tricks. But that’s pretty cool you’ll finally get some money out of it. The donation service sounds nice too, but in times like these, money is a little nicer.
Wow you have a bike? hehe. I can so picture you riding one too. Anyway that’s pretty cool then that you can try to sell it. Maybe with time you’ll get a new one that you can actually put to some use.
Wow…. that’s kind of rude for your grandfather to sell stuff like that without consent. :/ Then again, I have a cousin who will sell any car to anyone whether she owns it or not.
