Buh-Bye Money Hello New Tires

Well I just got back from Big O Tires a little while ago. I had hoped that they would be able to fix my tire, but after taking a good look at it today I knew it would be a no go and I was right. The damage done to the tire from the blowout was irreparable. See that post for pictures. Maybe they could have fixed it, but where I blew out (in the middle of a canal) I had no choice but to drive on it when made the tire worse.
On top of that, the tread was worn down to the wall so the warranty was void. I ended up buying two new tires, that was all I could afford right now. Came out to a little over $180. What would I do if I didn’t have plastic.
I was kinda hoping they had wi-fi in their waiting room like Lube & Go does, but sadly no. Darn it. I did see that a coffee shop down the road had a sign in their window mentioning something about laptop rental though. I was kind of tempted to check it out, but since I had my laptop with me I didn’t see the point of renting one. Not to mention, I’d be leary of renting one in a coffee shop. I mean, who is using them, who is taking care of them? Probably not very good people.

Well I’m glad you got new tires and can drive around now. Being stranded sucks. Though man, they’re expensive.
Julie,
Yeah, Big O is a little pricey, but they take damn good care of their customers. Not to mention, there were cheaper tires, but because of the mileage I put on my car for a single trip it behooves me to get tires that can stomach some mileage getting put on ‘em.
Hmm… Interesting for me indeed.
they are expensive, but I’m glad you are now riding on safe tires now.
