Mercedes Lackey is one of my husband's favorite authors. I've sort of fallen out of love with her style of writing.

CJHill,

I finished reading "Kitty and the Silver Bullet" the other day and I was impressed. 5 Star Rating, two thumbs way up, kind of impressed. Very awesome, twists upon twists, character growth that is believable, and characters that just continue to grow on you more and more.

Authors I've found to fill that void that the ABVH series left when it went sour are: Kelley Armstrong, Carrie Vaughn, Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harris, and Patricia Briggs.

Wow. You sound just like me! I've been searching for authors to replace LKH for quite awhile now. I think I've got Dead Witch Walking somewhere but I haven't read it as of yet. And I adore Carrie Vaughn! I'm reading Kitty and the Silver Bullet right now.
