This week’s Booking Through Thursday question really cracked me up. Why? See for yourself:

Okay, even I can’t read ALL the time, so I’m guessing that you folks might voluntarily shut the covers from time to time as well… What else do you do with your leisure to pass the time? Walk the dog? Knit? Run marathons? Construct grandfather clocks? Collect eggshells?

Oh, I’m fairly sure everyone knows what my answer to this question is going to be, well, at least they should. In fact, I’ll let my readers answer for me *strikes the Hulk Hogan pose* Come on guys, what do I like to do in my spare leisure time, besides reading that is? Hint: It can be summed up in one word.

Did you guys say anime? Why by golly, I guess you do know me! Yes that’s right, aside from reading, I enjoy watching anime, reading manga, and collecting anime paraphernalia. In my spare time you can find me in front of a computer downloading the latest episodes straight from Japan, watching said latest episodes, following fan forums and sites for the latest news, downloading and reading manga, and of course reading fanfiction and looking at fanart. Yeah, there is some reading in there too, but it’s still all anime. If I’m not in front of my computer or laptop then you can find me in front of a television watching my favorite anime series on dvd. And of course you’ll find anime soundtracks in my stereo, on my computers, and in my cd collection. Not to mention all the goodies that adorn my room. Pluhies, pillows, figurines, model kits, posters, keychains, calendars, wall scrolls, pocket watches (yes I have a State Alchemist’s pocket watch )buttons, badges, pins, pens, t-shirts, patches, candy - I think you’re getting the point now.

And because I know someone will wonder, my favorite series include: Naruto/Naruto Shippuuden, Bleach, Digimon Adventure, Hagane no Renkinjutsushi (Fullmetal Alchemist), Samurai 7, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, Gundam Wing, s-CRY-ed, Angelic Layer Gundam Seed, and of course Claymore. I am becoming slightly obsessed with Dragonaut and Gundam 00 lately as well.

When I’m not being a rabid otaku, I love tinkering with my websites…but seeing as how so many of them are anime related I guess you could tie that in with anime as well.
