BTT: Anticipation

What books am I looking forward to reading in 2008? That’s this week’s Booking Through Thursday question. Well, I was all set to participate in Booking Through Thursday these past couple of Thursdays, alas they were questions I just didn’t want to write about as it seemed everyone was doing a “best of 2007″ list on their blogs, and really the two weeks essentially asked the same thing. But not this week!

What new books are you looking forward to most in 2008? Something new being published this year? Something you got as a gift for the holidays? Anything in particular that you’re planning to read in 2008 that you’re looking forward to? A classic, or maybe a best-seller from 2007 that you’re waiting to appear in paperback?

There are quite a few new releases this year that I am looking forward to reading, four of which belong to four different series that have never let me down. Two in fact are en route to me as I type this. That would be Carrie Vaughn’s Kitty and the Silver Bullet and Patricia Briggs’ latest addition to the Mercy Thompson series, Iron Kissed. I honestly cannot wait for them to get here. Both series have become very dear to me and have never disappointed me in the slightest. In fact, Carrie Vaughn’s Kitty Norville series is the only one that I have reviewed at TS that has 2 or more books in the series with a 5 star rating. Considering how snarky I can be, that is quite the accomplishment.

There are also new additions to ongoing series by Kim Harrison, Stephenie Meyer, and Kelley Armstrong that I am looking forward to reading as well. 2008 promises to be a good year on the reading front, or so I hope. :)

    Melody,

Yup! My favorite genres are horror, paranormal, and fantasy. Although, truth be told, I’ll read from pretty much any genre. :)

Thank you, and happy reading to you too!

I don’t recognize the books you’ve mentioned. Happy reading and happy BTT.
