Bring on the Fall

Oh yeah, put away that swimsuit folks and bust out the apple cider and blankets – the fall is officially here! I caught a glimpse of a few leaves beginning to change color. You can’t really see any other changes, besides the drop in temperature, around here though, on account of the rain we’ve gotten. The grass should, by now, start getting some yellow sprouts in it and a good amount of leaves should already be falling off and starting to turn colors. While some leaves have fallen, it’s very little.
But that’s okay! I’m looking at my calendar, I know the fall is here. It’s football season (let’s go Cowboys!) and Halloween is just right around the corner too.
I’m planning on doing a little candy buying soon too. After all, this is the only time of year where one can find bags and bags of their favorite candy in bite-sized pieces.
Look, I even joined a book challenge for the holiday
as well. It’s called R.I.P. (Readers Imbibing Peril) and challenges readers to read books from the Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, Dark Fantasy, Gothic, Horror, and Supernatural genres.
I really hope I can stick this challenge out.
What really has me excited about the fall this year is the fact that I’m not in school. I don’t have to worry about getting back into the groove of things, no tests, no papers, no midterms, just kick back and enjoy my favorite season of the year. How cool is that?
Now if I could only land a job I’d be all set.
What do you like about the fall?

Hah, well if you had a job you’d be getting in the groove of work, focusing, reading a lot to make sure you know what you’re doing, etc. So it’s sorta like school?
Now that I’m home in Iowa, I love the change of the season! Down in Texas there weren’t any seasons to speak of – a lot of the trees there didn’t even change color or lose their leaves.
I missed that.
