Blogging Suggestions for 2008

Whether you’re participating in the Blog365 challenge or not, the fact is, there are times when we’re all at a loss as to what to blog. I know there are times I’m following interesting discussions and I vow to blog about it, but then I get sidetracked or I just sometimes don’t know where to start with it. Then of course there are the times where inspiration is just lacking.

This hasn’t been a problem thus far, but I imagine it’ll make a return soon. For that reason I have bookmarked this post from the Blogging 101 Workshop, 366 Blogging Activities for 2008. Every day a new activity is posted. You can choose to follow them daily to meet the blogging challenge, or whenever you’re running dry. You don’t have to follow the order either, just pick whatever interests you and start blogging.

Of course blogging, like talking, never operates to the fullest if one just opens their mouth and and gabs away. Aside from looking at prompts to get the juices flowing you might also want to consider reading over mcangeli’s 13 tips for blogging success. He makes a lot of good points in his post that every blogger should really take heed of. I myself am guilty of not really having a niche for this blog. However, I like to think that it is one of this blog’s quirks that makes it special and not necessarily a flaw. Does it work for me? My readers seem to think so. :)

    I don’t think that not having a niche is necessarily a “guilt”. Your blog belongs to the “personal blogs” niche. Besides, the cat lovers should love by now Isis and Denali, and they probably expect their new adventures every day. I surely do, and I’m glad every time you submit an article to the 1001 Cats blog carnival I’m running. Thank you for that.

    Thank you for that. :) I’m glad to hear others enjoy reading about Isis and Denali because I never tire blogging about them. That reminds me though, I need to submit another post to the carnival!

    I like that site! I might be using it during this Blog365 thing.
