Barren Trees Make Good Subjects

It’s cold outside and it’s windy to boot. So naturally I thought, oh, I wonder if I could get some good shots today!
Yeah, I don’t know what I was thinking either. For some odd reason though I really wanted to go outside and take some shots of our trees. I shot about 30 different pictures, even some of the neighborhood, Shizuku, and birds, but out of all of the pictures there were only two that I thought came out particularly well so I’ll only be sharing two with ya’all today.

Gazing up into one of our many pecan trees. I used to love to climb this tree due to the challenge it provided with its high, thin branches. Until I fell out of it that is, then I realized that those thin branches were pretty dangerous. Stupid kid, I know.
What Lurks Inside Thee

The overgrown evergreen tree that stands by my window, facing the road mind you. I had to climb under the branches and stand inside the tree to take this shot. I’m sure people driving by thought I was insane.
What do you guys think? Definite improvement? I’m hoping so! I loved how the flash from my camera lent the second image, What Lurks Inside Thee, a semi-eerie touch. Up A Tree however, for reasons I cannot put into words, is my favorite though. It blurred a bit there in the bottom corner though which upset me.

I like. The trees do look kinda spooky, like they’re haunted heh.
Nice photos….
You should have climbed the tree and taken a downward shot as well.
mcangeli,
You’re right, I should have done that! Then I could have taken a picture of my full body cast.
