Back Into the Swing of Things

Anime/Manga - - Posted on May, 17 at 7:15 am

I played around with a few drabbles here and there, but for the most part I had pretty much thrown in the towel when it came to writing, both fanfiction and my original works. I just didn’t feel like any of it was worth seeing the light of day.

Despite still feeling this way, chapter -102 just completely got the creative juices pumping and I had to let them flow or I’d just burst. I’ll try not to spoil it too much, but basically, an incident has occurred involving the vice-captain and captain of the 9th division. Things have gotten very serious so Yamamto decides to send three captains along with the “captain” and “vice-captain” of the Kido Corps to investigate. Kyouraku Shunsui points out how dangerous it would be to send both leaders of the Kido Corps and volunteers his Vice-Captain for the job - Yadomaru Lisa. As a result, we now have all of the future Vizards gathering together in one place.

I couldn’t help but to wonder if, looking back, Shunsui regretted opening his mouth. His logic was right; it would have been devastating to loose the heads of the Kido Corps. But then again, in the end it will cost him his Vice-Captain. We know Soul Society will view the Vizards as outlaws and give them the boot. So what did this do to him, knowing that he was the cause of her misfortune? What are Lisa’s thoughts on him? The Vizard hate shinigami, so does she hate and or possibly blame him? And then of course you can’t ignore the similarities between Lisa and her successor Nanao.

So yes, I could not resist writing a short story about these three. :)
