Auto Air Conditioning Woes?
Home Life - - Posted on August, 23 at 8:07 pm
You may recall me mentioning in a previous post how glad I am that this year I didn’t have to worry about my car’s air conditioning not working to its fullest, a first in quite some time. Well, the other day my mother was complaining that her truck’s a/c isn’t working quite as well as it should be. My grandfather then jumped in about how she really shouldn’t complain since she does have an air conditioner in her truck at least, unlike his (blue) truck, which is a ‘75 Chevy. And since it’s been really humid and muggy here this summer, he’s the one who really has it bad. According to him that is.
Now, before you get ready to lynch me or call me cruel, please keep in mind that he has a 2001 Chevy Silverado that he drives more often than the ‘75 and its a/c is working just fine. In fact, he got a new ac compressor installed and a bunch of other maintenance before the summer even started.
So he is definately not suffering.
I bet he was glad he owns a Chevy and not a BMW though, as I would think that a BMW ac compressor would cost much more. Unless, of course, he took advantage of a site like DiscountACParts.com, which carries a wide range of ac auto parts from a variety of models. Chevy, Dodge, BMW, VW, Toyota, Chrysler - on and on. Even if you’re not able to work on the vehicle yourself, taking advantage of Discount AC Parts is still a good idea. After all, you save money on parts and you can have a trust worthy mechanic install it for a quarter of the price.

HAH I love how old people make their troubles out to be so much worse than everyone else’s, when in fact he doesn’t even drive his non-AC truck that often!
Julie,
Yup, he’s actually pretty good at spinning a “woe is me” tale into just about anything.
He’s not happy unless he has something to gripe about, but we love him none the less.
in all honesty, he only drives his blue truck when he’s taking the trash to the landfil, or hauling something that he really doesn’t want scratching up his other truck. That’s it.
Ha ha, that is funny. I used to have an old car that leaked water during the winter. I tried to have it fixed for years - but nothing worked!
