A Social Site for Food Enthusiasts!

Hello food lovers, I just signed up at a website that I’m sure you’re going to enjoy. The site is called Food Connect and what makes it different from other social sites is the fact that all of the features are exactly what food enthusiasts are going to want. Not to mention, the website isn’t bogged down with a plethora of ads and cumbersome AJAX and Javascript applets either.
Quick loading, tons of recipes, pictures of yummy food – need I go on?
Just browsing the website as a non-member has benefits, as there is currently quite a variety and assortment of food and drink recipes. Members have the better deal though.
When you sign up you can submit your own recipe (with pictures!), plan an event, create a shopping list that will cover the necessities for your favorite recipes, message members, and even edit your own profile. You can also review other’s recipes as well. My favorite feature however is the automatic nutritional information that gets generated for each recipe. I absolutely hate it when someone asks for a recipe, I give it to them, and then get interrogated as to what the calories are and the nutritional value. I don’t pay attention to that, aside from the obvious substitutions, so it’s very nice to see that feature there. Now I can enter my recipes and find out their information.
So far, I’ve found two very delicious looking dishes to try out: this Beef Stew with Ravioli and a simple, yet filling, recipe for Broccoli Beef. I’ll probably be trying the beef stew with Ravioli first since there isn’t any fresh broccoli in the house currently.
