I went shopping the other day, went in for groceries and ended up doing a little splurging as well. My so bad. But it was, thankfully, very minor. While leaving the pet department and heading over to the automotive department in Wal-Mart, I passed by the incense and potpourri aisle and caught a whiff of this beautiful cinnamon scent. I had to find the source of it and while I was there I spied some incense oils. Out of curiosity I began opening them to take a whiff of the scents.

Now, I’ve never heard of the brand Elegant Expressions before, I don’t even recall ever seeing these in Wal-Mart before either. But they certainly have some delicious scents! For some reason that I cannot explain, I like very specific scents in my bedroom. Black cherry is lovely, but it gets old. However, scents that make me think of the kitchen never get old. You can always expect to catch a whiff of sandalwood, cinnamon, nutmeg, and other such scents in my room. Odd, I know.

I found two oils that I just had to have. The first is called “Warm Sugar Cookies” and I swear, it really does smell like someone just took a tray of sugar cookies straight from the oven. I could practically taste them in my mouth when I had some of the oil burning earlier. The second one I bought is called “Cinnamon Nutmeg”. This one makes me think of the holiday seasons, making sabbath cakes for Halloween, and cookies and cakes for Christmas. Beautiful scents.

And then of course, while I had the image of sweets in my mind, I wandered down to the holiday section and gazed longingly at all the Halloween candy.

Eventually I gave in and picked up a couple of bags. First, a Tootsie Roll bag that is filled with all kinds of Tootsie Roll products. It’s got Tootsie Roll pops, bars, Tootsie Rolls, mini rolls, and even the fruity ones. Oh, and the Dots too. Then I found a bag called Classic Horrors which has all of the classic candies that you used to munch on when watching movies. We’re talking Raisonetes, Goobers, Oh! Henry, and 1000 Grand bars. I can’t wait to settle down with some good horror flicks and the candy.

Sadly enough, I got side tracked with the oils and candy though. I forgot to stop at the lawn and garden section to pick up a new garden hose and check out the patio furniture covers there and I forgot to pick up the ant spray as well. Not to mention I forgot to go back to the dairy section after I’d gotten everything and pick up some milk and cottage cheese. My bad.
