A Day Out in the Sun

Home Life, Paw Prints, Shutterbugging - - Posted on April, 18 at 4:47 pm

The girls are very happy right now, although I am a little less than pleased with Isis at the moment, but more on that later. Since the weather has been absolutely lovely today, and the girls both got their vaccinations, I decided to let them go outside for a bit. Denali get’s to go outside more often, because frankly, she loves it. here lately though she seems to be happy being a house cat. Isis for the most part doesn’t like going outside anymore, period. Today, even she was scratching at the door. So out the kitties went to spend a day out in the sun:

Denali had a blast running around through the shrubs and garden terrorizing anything smaller than her, and even Shizuku at one point. In that second picture, you can’t tell because it hasn’t come darting out yet, but Denali’s keen eyes spied a lizard and she happily stalked him in fun. Unfortunately for the lizard, fun in Denali’s eyes mean torture to her prey.

Despite being allowed outside, Isis didn’t stray far at first, which was good because I couldn’t find her leash. However, after a while Isis decided she wanted to play as well and even an hour after Denali has already come into the house, Isis is still running free outside and refusing to come in. :grr: She’s being a royal brat, but at the same time, it’s so cute to see the little old lady frolicking about like a kitten. :aww: I can’t stay upset with her. :) Which is probably a very good thing since, according to my very-banged-up and in-need-of-replacing technomarine watch1 she’s been outside for almost five hours now and still going strong.

ETA: And just minutes after posting this I hear Isis meowing in that indignant way she does when she wants something. What did she want, you ask? Why to come inside for dinner of course! And since she was on the roof this meant her human servant had to fetch the ladder and climb up to reach her while she sat at the edge and watched with a sleepy and impatient look.

  1. I honestly don’t know why I don’t just get rid of it considering all of the watches I received as gifts not long ago for graduation, Christmas, and my birthday []

Well this just proves that even the felines enjoy pretty days just as much as humans. Heh. Your cat Isis sounds like my cat Skeety. Lol. He likes to go outside and sit on the swing but anything else he is lazy as can be. He even thinks he should get carried inside when he wants to go instead of having to walk inside. Pfffft. Even though they are royal brats, you gotta love ‘em! :)

Going outside! How fun! Isis is probably not wanting to come in, because outside is just too much fun!

Kitties are so cute when they get some outside in the sun time. Dusty Rose loves to hide outside but not too far, cause she’s scared of the neighbor dogs. But it’s cute that Isis for once decided she’s happier outside and didn’t come home for hours. Sometimes kitties are silly like that. Lapy’s like that, even more so in her older age, so my parents tell me. She just sits out in the grass and refuses to budge cause she’s happy right there heh.
