Wasted Days and Wasted Nights

Ugh, my mind is so foggy I can’t even come up with a worthwhile post title and instead have to borrow some lyrics for my use. I’m bad. Anyway, I just woke up not even thirty minutes ago so ya’all will have to cut me a little bit of slack.
Ah, and now the million dollar question. Why was I still asleep until 2pm on a Friday during the school term when I have a 1:30 to 2:20pm class? Well the answer is quite simple really, I didn’t get home until after three o’clock in the morning yesterday thanks to the football game. No I was not celebrating our team’s victory and partying that late, although I suppose the alternative would have been preferable. Some of my close friends and regular readers have probably already figured out what happened, so to confirm, Thursdays are my day to work at NMSU Athletics. Since I can’t wash laundry until the game is over, the earliest I got to work was 10pm last night. Gah.
Granted, to be fair, my boss tried to have me leave earlier than I would have and allowed me to leave some stuff for the person that comes in on Friday, but I was still out late. Since I’m typically a nocturnal person I figured it would be best if I just stayed up, went to class, and then went home to sleep. It would have worked if I hadn’t decided to lay down for “just a few minutes” too. Yeah, next thing I know it’s 2pm and I’ve missed class.
It’s probably for the best, the reason I tried to stay up instead of get some sleep is I knew I wouldn’t wake up in enough time to get to Las Cruces, park way over at the Pan Am (free parking with shuttle service) and get down to Breland Hall in time for class. Our professor has a policy that if you’re more than ten minutes late then don’t bother coming to class, and from what I understood from his past students, he will kick you out if you show up late. Since I didn’t get to bed right away after getting home around 3:30-ish due to the desperate need for a shower (my sweet, mixed with the scent of football players eew) I knew if I went to bed then I wouldn’t wake up on time on my own and since I live a little too far from Las Cruces to be comfortably told to just “go home” for being ten minutes late I knew I had to wake up with plenty of time to get to campus, park, and grab the shuttle. I thought staying up would work, but I guess not.
On the bright side though the NMSU Aggies beat the Southern Louisiana Lions 15 to 30.
Talk about a victory! And NMSU did this too? Unbelievable! Good way to start off the season.

Gah wouldn’t you know I just typed a response and then closed the window *smacks self*
Anyway, wow that is some serious sleeping in but doode it’s ok you were tired. And really, you’d probably have passed out during class anyway. Hopefully you can just get the notes from someone and not be behind.
Julie,
Hm, not really. I mean I lasted until around 8am before I decided I could afford to “lay down for just a minute” x_X so 5 hours of sleep, give or take some minutes. I think the reason I was so tired was because of all the Ibprofun I had to pop in order to make it through the night since my back was still acting up. Strangely enough, in the middle of hauling a huge load I realized the chronic back ache had stopped. Perhaps taking it easy wasn’t the best choice for me and I actually needed the strain to work out the kinks? Who knows! But it’s not hurting today and that’s all that matters!
Yeah, hopefully somebody will be nice enough to lend me their notes. Thankfully I have the textbook for the class so I won’t be completely behind.
Mari has done that before, but usually cramming for stuff. Or gaming. Mari can game all night and last till noon the next day then just…drop over. It’s funny because you’re always so surprised when you wake up going “WHAT TIME IS IT?!!!!”
What exactly is an Aggie? Alligator? Mari is confused at team names like that. But the best one Mari’s ever heard was the “QV Fighting Quakers” Oxymoron, anyone?
wow that was one long blog
Aww that is one hectic day for you. NMSU Aggies beat the Southern Louisiana Lions 15 to 30 woo hoo!go NMSU Aggies!!

Awww…that sucks
Actually that happened to another friend of mine though so you’re not alone! Wow, staying up all night eh? that’s rough.
Ana,
Not really. You should see my FAnime Friday posts, those get very long-winded at times.
Thanks, I’m glad you like the smilies!
Moira,
