There Are Still Nice People

I had to get up early today so I could head in to the library and search online for some journal articles. Getting them from campus is free, but if I try to access them off campus it’s always a hassle as sometimes the article sites don’t recognize that I’m accessing them through NMSU and try to charge me fees. Exuberant fees I might add.

Since the issuance of our new University IDs there has been money placed on them for the purpose of printing. An automatic $20 each year, and if you need more you have to get more put on your card out of your pocket. Because of this I didn’t think that our library was still hooked up to the old copy card system. While I was fretting about my print job staying in the system long enough for me to run up to the ATM machines in Corbett Center, the woman in charge of the copy center in the library loaned me the office’s copy card so I wouldn’t have to leave my station and loose my computer. :)

After I was finished, I ran up to Corbett, withdrew some money and paid her back. It was nice to finally meet a nice staff member at NMSU and not someone with a stick up their arse.

Now to go work on my paper that is due tomorrow.

It’s so great to meet a good nice kind-hearted human being every now and then. Kinda makes all the other zombie-monster-evils out there tolerable.

That’s awfully nice of her! She probably understood what it would be like and that’s always good to know that there are people like her looking out for other people like that. Hope your paper turned out great!
