The Presentation is Over

And I can now breathe a sigh of relief. My professor emailed me back, thanking me for bringing it to her attention. She will keep in mind what was stated, our presentation performance, and the overall meat of the project outline. While the presentation grade is directly influenced by each other, the outline portion will be graded based more on who contributed what. She had me get everyone to write their names next to the section we did too. No one was the wiser thankfully, because I really don’t want to start a fuss with the members over this.
When we turned in our bibliographies we had to note who was doing what and how the group functioned, I received full credit on my assignment, lots of positive feedback and comments, and a thanks for bringing things to her attention. That, coupled with the email and presentation really showed her the truth of what happened I hope.
That and when she sees that the meatiest portion of the outline with the most detailed information and sources is mine, well it’ll be obvious I wasn’t blowing hot air.
Either way, it’s over and I can rest in peace knowing I did my best effort despite the hindrance and that the grades will be fair.

Go you! I hope you get a good grade.
I’m glad your professor chose to make sure this was done fairly. Hope you get a great grade on it.
That’s great that the prof was so responsive. So how did the actual video go?
What a great outcome! You and the teacher both handled the situation very well.
Charity,
Thanks, so do I. Need the good grade to cancel out the fact that I missed the class the week our class was moved to an alternative day and time in order to attend a guest speaker on campus. I lost ten points there, and I never got to get any of the extra credit either.
I think I have an A in the class anyway, not sure though.
Julie,
Well we didn’t do a video because I was the only one with any actual experience with software and I didn’t know how or had the time and resources to make the video. So what we did was to make a slide show on power point with images and messages and then, after the other girls couldn’t figure it out, I applied a song to the entirety of the slide show. Because we did it that way, and not like other students who ended up opening a song of their choice in itunes, clicking play, and then starting the show, a lot of people thought we had made a video.
