Yesterday I mentioned having to take the nerve wracking exam for CJ399. Its setup and inability to look back on answers previously answered are enough to drive me bonkers and I usually screw up royally. Well, royally for me anyway. I was still doing fairly well compared to the majority in my class but high C’s on those exams are nothing to write home about!

So what did I get on that exam? Just a 90%.

Yes you read that right, I pulled an A on that final exam which is fucking awesome! I so needed it on account of missing the deadline for a written assignment due to the fuss with the IRS. I’m kind of bummed though, I pulled out an 87% for the class. So close to an A and yet so far. ;_; I wanted an A dangit! But still for having to take a 0 for one assignment that’s really not that bad so I won’t complain too much.

I got a low A for my CJ411 class though so I’m not too upset. Hopefully I got an A for Cultural Anthropology as well. I have absolutely no idea what grade I’m going to get for my Race, Crime & Justice class though. My participation points were pretty low and I didn’t get a chance to do the extra credit. I just never felt comfortable expressing my views in that class.

The only two people who talked regularly were too far to the Right for my liking and when practically everything you think and feel is in opposition to their stance or the majority of it anyway then it gets tiring speaking out. I mean I like a good debate but when it seems like saying anything will dissolve the situation into an argument it hardly seems worth it, you know? I did post in the online discussions but who knows how that’ll help me and I haven’t heard anything back on my paper for that class either. Which by the way came out to exactly 18 pages and not a word over. I was trying so hard to stretch it to the 25 minimum, and in fact I kind of needed the length to get everything covered, only to find 25 was the maximum limit and boy was I over that! I had to scale the paper down and then when I did that some bits just sounded too choppy and had to be removed altogether. I sincerely hope I pull an A on that paper and the course but who knows.
