Proud to ‘Go Pink’ for October

The observant may have noticed that my blog has underwent a bit of a change recently. It’s pink, it’s very pink. In fact, it’s so very pink that I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that a few people are tempted to check my forehead right now.
It’s for a good cause however!
October, as you may well know, is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in a show of support for the cause I have opted to ‘Go Pink’ like so many other webmasters and webmistresses out there. If you’d like to show your support for the cause you too can opt to go pink. I decided to modify my Night Sky theme to this one, but there are a plethora of theme designers who have already made wonderful layouts for you that are awaiting your download. Just check out the WebToolsCollection theme release for today – there are plenty there to choose from.
If you do decide to go pink why not head on over to the Pink for October website and join the others stepping up for this cause. If you’re looking to donate to the cause PFO also has information available on how you can lend a helping hand to this cause.
And speaking of donating to the cause, I’d like to take a moment and draw a little attention to the Boobiethon, Bloggers for Breast Cancer Awareness. This organization has been around for a few years and has succeeded in raising quite a bit of money for Breast Cancer research. So head on over to this year’s site, check it out, and donate or participate!

Go Lady Joanana and your supporting of boobies!
Hmm, well it looks great! You make me want to turn my layout pink, heh. But I’m kind of on a layout block at the moment. However, I do have on a pink bracelet with the ribbons on it :] Take care!
Julie,
:lamo: Somehow when you read that comment, especially out of context, I sound like a pervert. XD Yea for boobie love!
Cassie,
Well you could always just download a free wordpress theme. It would make things very easy.
Ah, I want one of those bracelets.
I’m going pink for october too! Well actually my website is pink and black to begin with but I shall post a note about this on my blog hehe.
I love the new theme. It’s gorgeous!!
Tina,
Thanks hun. Considering I only had a chance to whip it up last night and work on it in the wee-hours I’m fairly pleased with it myself. I was certain that when I woke back up today I would be utterly disappointed in it, but I’m pleased to say that’s not the case.
I just realized something, your blog is already Pink for October since you’ve had a pink theme up for a bit now!
Mari was going to offer flu medicine until she saw this post and remembered it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Your pink theme is quite cute! The 3d ribbon is cute, as well as the sparkles.
Mari went pink yesterday, but her WordPress install disagreed and stalled it for another day.
I was wondering when I came on the site what was with all the pink but then I noticed the ribbon and thought how thoughtful!
Mari,
Thanks! I’m fairly pleased with the end result as well.
For the longest time though I just sat there mulling over the possibilities when I just finally started fiddling around and throwing elements together. Before I knew it I’d created the header background and then some more fiddling gave me the header image.
It’s also Hispanic Heritage month too and I believe Domestic Abuse month too. Shesh, too many causes and not enough months. That says a lot about us humans ne?
Moira,
You know me, I’m a very thoughtful person.
Haha, I bet the pink really tripped you up though huh? Something along the lines of “eh? Is this really Joana’s blog?” maybe?
I always knew you were a big softie at heart
Moira!
Shhh!!! That’s supposed to be a secret!
Nice design.
