The theme for this week’s Mute Monday was “Role Model(s)”. I decided to post images of the people who have served as Role Models for me:
My mother, who taught me that if you keep after it you can succeed, no matter what people tell you. She also taught me that I and only I can determine my own self-worth.
Geraldine Ferraro, who taught me that women have a voice that can and will be heard.
A fictional female character, who at long last, didn’t need a man in her life in order to survive, but instead he needed her.
Mercedes Lackey, a fictional writer who taught me it’s possible for a woman to make not only a name and career for herself, but to succeed beyond belief. She is also a woman whose skill at writing I deeply admire.
