Maybe She’ll Get a Toyota?

So my car Pyro is almost at the 100,000 mileage mark and as we all know once a vehicle passes that marker the trade-in value takes a drastic drop. Pyro still has a lean on him, granted it’s almost paid off and once I drop the full coverage I’ll be able to put more into the monthly payments and less into the auto insurance, but I wish I had it paid off like yesterday.

So with Pyro reaching the mark I’ve got every single male relative and their friends lecturing me on trading Pyro in and getting myself a new vehicle since I put a lot of miles on my vehicles with my daily commute I need a dependable ride. Of course everyone agrees that I should not, under any circumstances get a Fix Or Repair Daily, like I would ever get one.

When I mentioned that since I’ve always had an American car and my dream car is also an American car I should get myself at least one foreign model everyone chimed in with suggestions. Heh, I said I was thinking about a new vehicle not getting one, as since I’m fixing to graduate and maybe start a career buying a new vehicle goes on the back burner. Now unless I land myself one hell of a job a used car is the way I’m going. A Used Toyota is highly probable.

The only Toyota I’ve ever driven was a 1997 Toyota Tercel and I have to say that I really did enjoy it. The car handled well and certainly parts were easier to find for it then my own American made vehicles (odd I know). The car was actually my mother’s and she is just as bad as me when it comes to neglecting the upkeep of her car, maybe she’s worse come to think of it. None the less that car took the abuse without any qualms and endured a lot of damage and heavy usage that I would never place on, for example, a Ford. My mother only traded in her car recently, after it had long past the 100,000 mark and had been in and survived three accidents. Despite knowing it was time for a new vehicle, and the fact that she wanted a truck (specifically a Tundra), if she could have held onto the car longer she would have.

The Tercel was a smooth ride, handled curves well, could turn on a dime, and had some fine acceleration. It will be missed definately. I’ve driven Fords (at work :dead: ), Mitsubishis, Dodges, Chevys, Hondas, and Toyotas and I have to say that if I do get myself a new vechicle son (it’s iffy if it’ll be a car, truck, or suv) then it’ll probably be a Toyota.

    I want a car :!:

But then I’d still have the issue of needing insurance.

I wish you luck on your car expedition. :) Maybe a new car’s just what you need, ’cause getting new things always makes me feel all happy and stuffs. Ok I’m going to shut up now. :P
