Looking for Someone to Code my Layout

[stickied post] this may not be the latest entry ~_^
I am looking for someone to code a layout that I made for me, for which they will be paid.
Well you know that new theme I just created for The Symposium? It seems something is wrong with it and it’s broken. I’m not sure how or why but it was working fine. Then I realized I had an old version of the wordpress theme switcher installed so I upgraded it and now that theme won’t work. Oh it’ll show up for a bit but then it stops. It’ll show up in my presentation tab as broken and if it’s the default anyone trying to view the site is met with a blank white page.
Initially IE wasn’t reading the tables correctly, although all other browsers were, and because I used tables I had to use absolute positioning and align it in relation to a 1024×768 browser. Which meant that if you had a larger browser size you saw a big empty space to the right rather than the layout being centered.
Now I really liked this theme – a lot – and I don’t want to part with it but I can’t fathom what’s wrong. I used tables to create the layout because I couldn’t get the layout to work in divs, although it’s obviously possible; so now I’m outsourcing.
Do you have experiance creating wordpress themes? If so I would very much like to hear from you. What I am looking for is someone to take the theme I already made, convert it from tables to divs so that it can keep its set up but be centered in the browser rather than shoved to the far left, and to fix up the little mistakes I clearly made. I am willing to pay for this so please name your price. T.S. might not be what one would call a prime piece of internet real estate but it’s my baby and I love it so I’m willing to pay someone here to fix it up.
If you are interested please send me an email with the following information:
- your name
- email address
- asking price
- example url of your work
Please send your emails to:
Here is a screen cap of the theme in question. It was taken from a bowser resolution larger than 1024×768 so you can see the empty space I’m talking about:
![]()
In short, this is what I’m looking for someone to do:
- convert layout formating from tables to .divs
- align the layout so that it is centered in all browsers
- locate and fix the error causing this theme to be read as ‘broken’
If you know someone who could do this or might be interested please pass the word on to them. Thank you!
