Let Bygones be Bygones

The news has been riddled with depressing articles as of late. Not that the news was ever really full of happy things to begin with, but now it seems like every time I visit my local newspaper’s site, MSN, Yahoo!, or any other source of news I am bombarded with the depressing. A person can only hear so much about 5yr olds being put in comas, car bombings, death tolls, or how the friends, family, and neighbors of a man could not know that he had been dead in front of his tv for a year. Seriously, most of the articles I’ve read in the past couple of days have left me thinking the old adage no news is good news had it absolutely right.
Thankfully though my eyes fell upon this article. A beautiful wonder occurred at the Meriden Humane Society recently, a Rottweiler puppy, named Charlie, was rejected by his mother but to the great delight of everyone Satin, a black short haired cat, has taken him in as one of her own.
Yes a cat has adopted a dog. So much for the belief that cats and dogs cannot get along! Don’t believe me? Then read the article for yourself! I just think it is absolutely cute that the little puppy was playing with the kittens and that Satin chose to adopt him on her own. 
When I saw this article I couldn’t help but to go 
– it’s just that cute and heartwarming.
Now if a cat can adopt an abandoned puppy why can’t the Middle East stop it’s fighting? Why can’t the Democrats and Republicans work together rather than against each other?
Why can’t we let bygones be bygones?

I agree with you on the whole depressing news scene, every time I log onto Yahoo, it’s either about some celebrity who’s personal life has nothing to do with us or some tragedy. Makes the world a whole lot brighter, don’t you think?

Well… to answer your questions from my personal opinions because the people “in charge” are idiots in a sense… why we elect them, I have no idea. And I think Julie is right… in some sense, humans do suck =P
I have never heard of a cat adopting a puppy before, that’s so cute! I wonder what will happen when he gets bigger though…
