It’s Cold in Southern New Mexico

No joke, it is really frigging cold down here. Normally we shouldn’t be getting this kind of weather until mid/late January and a little into February. By my birthday it’s always already starting to warm up a bit. Instead it’s cold enough that every other night we have snow warnings, although it hasn’t snowed here since Thanksgiving, and at night there will be isolated showers. Ooh lovely, wet and cold, talk about miserable weather.
For some odd reason my room won’t stay warm and the little heater I had in there went kaput. I want a new heater for my room, I’m thinking one of those slim space heater units so that it won’t get in my way. Poor Isis burrows herself under the covers of her own accord now! She also has a bad habit of tucking her cold nose and paws against my neck, talk about a wake up call. 
I don’t need anything like those really big gas propane heaters you always see advertised for my room though, just a simple electric one will suffice. Just something to help ward off the chill that permeates my room and won’t seem to go away. I noticed that Desatech.com is offering free shipping on some heaters from now until Christmas which really tempts me to make a splurge.

It’s cold here too. Well, a few days were this weekend. The windchill on one day was 25F! Yesterday I had to scrape ice off my car. I guess with the ice on my grass I’m having a white xmas after all haha. *hands you a blankie* Those little space heaters are awesome. Especially for some rooms that stay colder than the rest of the house, like my bathroom and closet for some reason.
